Dr. Gene Hawkins

As a pain psychologist, this interactive blog was born out of a wish to share what has been learned in forty-two years of practice. Its founder is Gene Hawkins Ph.D. pain specialist and pain patient himself.

Dr. Hawkins received his Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Oklahoma in 1979. He began consulting with physicians and teaching medical patients in 1982. He is a member of The American Academy of Pain Management, American Psychological Association, and Oklahoma Psychological Association. He is a member of the National Register for Health Service Providers. Dr. Hawkins is past president of the Oklahoma Health Science Providers.
